| This battery provides more hours than the original battery that came with my laptop! I was pleasantly surprised, easy to set up - then you have to follow the directions that tell you to discharge and recharge the battery a couple of times to prime it. Once that's done, its good to go!! |
Works great for Inspiron 1501

I bought this battery a few months ago to replace the dead one in my Inspiron 1501. It installed with no issues and just worked. I haven't clocked how long it holds a charge, but it's at least 1.5 hours longer than the dead battery.
The negative reviews for other models shouldn't scare away Inspiron 1501 owners from buying this battery. |
Battery EXPLODED - Please do not buy

The battery fit well in my Inspiron 1501 and worked normally for the first 6 months.
Then one fine day, it EXPLODED. My laptop is burnt and surroundings are damaged.
After extensive talks with DELL, we have come to a conclusion that these are NOT DELL original batteries.
We were very very lucky that no one got hurt. |

After the battery in my Inspiron 6400 went bad, I checked Dell for a replacement, saw the price and knew that I needed to find a replacement battery at a better price. I read lots of reviews on lots of different batteries and narrowed it down to ordering this one - for the price, I figured even if it doesn't last, I'm still way ahead.
Tell you what, I received the battery, made sure to give it a good charge (at least 24 hours) and have been so happy with the life. Way better than the factory 6-cell that was in the laptop when I bought it.
Don't hesitate, just do it and buy yourself a good cheap battery. |
