This replaced the original Dell battery that failed after two years. We had some problems with the Vostro 1000 laptop right after we installed this battery so I suspected at first that the battery might have caused the problem. That turned out not to be the case, and this battery has been working just fine for several months.
By the way, from what I have read on the web, suddenly going completely electrically dead is a common problem on Vostro 1000 laptops. Dell replaces the motherboard to correct this problem (costs more than a new computer). I dismantled the laptop completely looking for a crack or bad connection. I found nothing, so I put it back together with the idea of trying to sell it for $50 on eBay as DOA to someone who needed a display or keyboard or battery for a Vostro 1000. Upon reassembly, the silly thing started working again, and has continued to work with no problem for several months. |

My battery was broken. So I have bought this item in the USA, because I'd like the price. Total price, with a new keyboard and including shipment/tax it was $100. In my home country it would be $160. The item was shipped to my address within 2 month's (delay due customs). I placed the battery and it works fine; it's charging :). Great service.
Tip: When you ship an order to another country: place the invoice visible on top of the package; for customs. |

| Don't buy this battery. The one I brought only last about 6 months. Also the company will not respond when you send them a message. |

| This battery works just fine. Charges great just like the original. I haven't had any problems with it..I would definitely recommend this product vs. a non -Dell replacement battery. Remember, batteries should be bought new, and if possible, the original replacement part. DON'T BUY AN IMITATION... |
